Mountain Road 15-miler in 2:10:23.  Forty-Five Degrees and Breezy. 

Dusty and I on Greylock, Cheshire Harbour Trail to Summit and back down for 7-miles.

Attended a performance at the University of Hartford's Lincoln Theater tonight with DL.  We were able to witness Ornette Coleman and Prime Time.

Dusty & I ran 7-Sisters course from the Holyoke Notch to the Summit House and back, 2:23:03.

My Pop and I participated at the Manchester Thanksgiving Day Road Race.

11,500 or so runners showed up, we managed to run 47:22.

Took Dusty out to Hawley Dubuque, we explored for 1:47:55.

Sunderland to race the Mount Toby 14-Mile Trail Race.  Competed well in 1:45:37.

Ran the Old Greylock 10-Mile course with Dusty in 1:43:43.

Monroe Power Run in Monroe State Forest.  

I finished the 10.5-Mile Trail Race in 11th place, running 1:33:09.

Hartford Marathon
October 1, 1994 - Hartford, Connecticut

Ran through the 1st Hartford Marathon today in ~3:16:00.  My father ran the 5km, my Mom and DL came along to cheer us on.  The finish-time is only six-minutes off a Boston Qualifying Time for my age divsion (sub 3:10).  I feel confident going forward I can reach the qualifying standard.

DL and I attended an Asnuntuck Community College sponsored Whale Watch in Plymouth.

My second attempt at the Broad Brook to Shenipsit State Forest 20-mile road run as marathon prep training.  Had company of RunSteveo for the duration, and we completed the run in 3:02:14.

Took Dusty out to the Hoosac Range, running from Burlingame to High Bridge. 

Ran the Harvest Ramble 10km Trail Race at Northfield Mountain with RunSteveo.

Finished in 15th place, with a time of 42:55. 

Another Wapack 17-Mile Trail Run, this time in 2:49:03.

Ran 10-miles in Dubque State Forest, Hawley, with Dusty.  We roamed around for 2:12:25.

Third time at the Savoy Mountain 20-Mile Trail Race in Savoy and Florida, Massachusetts.

I managed an 11th place overall, with a time of 3:15:35 in tremendous mud and water.

Day three of the Mohawk Trail State Forest Adventure - our final bit.

Participated at the Bridge of Flowers 10km race in nearby Buckland & Shelbourne Falls.  Completed the event in 41:57.

Day two of our camping trip at Mohawk Trail State Forest.  

Much of the day was spent at nearby Savoy Mountain State Forest hiking to Spruce Hill Summit, and eating blackberries along the way.

Began a few day camping trip with DL & Dusty at Mohawk Trail State Forest.

1st (and only?) Temple Mountain 12-Mile Trail Race.

I completed the race in 1:46:12, which was plenty fast.

My first attempt at the Escarpment 30km Trail Race.

Completed the event in 38th place with a time of 3:46:04.

I made it to Windblown in 40 minutes,

Blackhead in 2 hours,

and Dutcher Notch in 2:30:00.

Drove out to the Catskills with DL & Dusty to partipate in the Escarpment Trail Race (30km).

Cummington Ambulance Chase 10km Trail Race - 45:00 for the 6.2-miles, good for 24th.

 Final day at Savoy Mountain State Forest for a camping trip at South Pond with DL and Dusty.

Nipmuck Trail Marathon

June 5, 1994 - Ashford, Connecticut

First attempt at a trail marathon, Nipmuck.  My folks drove down to watch, along with DL, and my friend RunSteveo joined me over the second half to help keep me focused.

I finished in 23rd place, 4:02:00.  Initially, I was very nervous concerning the distance, but the run  ended up not being as difficult as I had dreaded.  This was my 3rd completed.

Canoe with DL & Dusty, as well as the ACTC Outing Group on the Farmington River.

Route 185 to Route 4 in roughly 4-hrs, covering around 8.5-miles.

Mt Greylock Trail Running Adventure, covering roughly 17-miles of scenic beauty with Dusty.

Beginning and Ending was at the Cheshire Harbor Trailhead.

Segment 1:  Up Cheshire Harbor to Hopper Trail.

Segment 2:  Down Hopper and Sperry Road to Stony Ledge.

Segment 3:  Down Stony Ledge Trail.

Segment 4:  Up Roaring Brook Trail.

Segment 5:  Down and then Up Deer Hill Trail.

Segment 6:  CCC Dynamite Trail to Jones Nose.

Segment 7:  Old Adams Road to Cheshire Harbor Trail.

Segment 8:  Cheshire Harbor Trail to finish.

Completed the run in 3:34:17.

 12-mile trail run with Dusty in Shenipsit State Forest.

Participated in Fidelco's Bike Ride, covering 55-miles on the Specialized Hard Rock.  

Finish time of 3:40:58.

Today's event was my 3rd attempt at the Soapstone Mountain Half-Marathon.

Another  improvement over prior years, finishing in 1:49:47, placing 29th for the 13.7-miles.

Second year doing the Cockaponsett Jay Walk.  This time the race was listed as a 7.0-mile trail race, and I finished in 51:55;  20th place.

 10-mile run with Dusty in Shenipsit State Forest.

 The 1994 New England Trail Running season began again at 7 Sisters.

Third year in a row for me, this time I completed the even in 2:20:46, good for 14th place.

 7-Sisters training run with Dusty, to the Summit House and back to the Notch in 2:20:00.

 Participated in the Empire One Running Club's Half-Marathon in Westfield, finishing in 1:31:53.

 Participated in my second annual DH Jones 10-Mile Road Race in Amherst, finishing in 1:11:05.

 I ran the T-Ville 5km road race today, with Run Steveo, in 20:45.

 I ran the Simsbury Old Farms 10-Mile road race today in 1:16:12.

Participated in a running race around People's State Forest on the roads.  

Two-Loops, for a total of 17.2-miles.  Completed this journey with a time of 2:23:07.

Started the year off with a Road Race, the Westfield 10Km.  I did not feel well before, during, or after, but managed a 41:56.
