Taconic Crest Trail Run with RunSteveo and Dusty.

Prosser Hollow Road start, to Oblong Road in Williamstown (Mills Hollow Trail off the Ridge).

Awesome day, very memorable.

Along the way, we crested the following peaks and sites:

  • Bald Mountain
  • The Snow Hole
  • White Rock
  • Smith Hill
  • White Rocks
  • Petersburg Pass
  • Mount Raimer
  • Berlin Pass Trail Junction
  • Berlin Mountain

We got a ride from Oblong Road, where I left my truck, to the start with RunSteveo's folks.  Excellently great people, and I consider both close friends.

We really struggled finding the trail-head, God Bless Steveo's parents for sticking with us, and allowing Dusty to tag along.

The running took us 3:29:12.

There was no snow in the Snow Hole.

The day was breezy and cool, 70's to 80's for temperature.

Start to Snowhole - 1:05:01

@ Petersburg Pass - 37:23 / 1:42:24

Rest Period - 9:57 / 1:52:22

@ Southeast Hollow / Mills Hollow - 36:28 / 3:10:20

Finish on Oblong Road - 18:53 / 3:29:12

Mileage estimated at 14.6.

DL didn't wait to fill "Louie's" empty cage, she picked up two new cockatiels today.

Wednesday, August 2, 1995

Our cockatiel "Louie" died today.  We inherited him from my Sister and Cool Cat a while ago, and enjoyed his company a great deal. I believe he was with us at least 3-years, and lived for 6 or so previously.  "Louie" loved to eat popcorn with me...  I'll miss him.
