13th Annual Hawley Kiln "Notch" 4.6-Mile Snowshoe Race
March 7th, 2010 - Dubuque State Forest - Hawley, MA

Another organizing effort, this time for a Notch version.  61 finishers in the race, I brought up the rear once again.  Ended, as usual, at South Face Farm Sugarhouse to semi-close out the season.

March 6th, 2010 - Constitution Hill - Lanesborough, MA

The BRNC Gang wanted to take a run-through of an event, hoping join our series next year.  Great group, great course, great area.  I finished 3rd out of 28 in the trial run.

Hawley Kiln "Notch" marking with Tippi, 4.7-miles.  The season is winding down.

Drove out to DAR State Forest with Tippi to snowshoe 4.5-miles.

Moody Spring 5.7-Mile Snowshoe Race

I directed another event in Hawley, with 55 finishers.  I went out early to mark and track, and finished in last spot.

5.7-miles with Tippi marking the Moody Spring course for Saturday's race.

I directed another event in Hawley, going out early to mark and track, and finished 85th of 85.

Mount Greylock State Reservation - Lanesborough, MA

I organized this one, borrowing from the original we did back in March of 2003.  This time, we kept "official" score.

61 completed route on a very deep snow day!  

Tippi and I completed the course in the dark, pre-race, checking all the markings and arrows before hand.

We really got our monies worth today (Tippi and I).  

A) We went over the course/markings for Saturday's Moby Dick event on Greylock for 7.5-miles.

B) We marked the Hallockville Orchard course for Sunday's event for an additional 3.5-miles.

Totaled up 11-miles for the day, and a few hundred miles of driving.

Out to Dubuque State Forest in Hawley to snowshoe Moody Spring and Basin Brook with Tippi for 4.3-miles in ninety-minutes.

7th Annual Camp Saratoga ~5-Mile Snowshoe Race

February 13th, 2010 - Wilton Wildlife Preserve - Wilton, NY

The Camp Saratoga 5-Mile Snowshoe Race at Wilton Wildlife Preserve was held by my very good friends JC & LC.  

I ended up 27th out of 123 finishers.

Planning the route for the Moby Dick Snowshoe event;  Lanesborough Visitor Center to Rounds Rock and back measured roughly 7.5-miles for Tippi and I, completed in two-hours.

11th Annual Saratoga Spa Winterfest 5km Snowshoe Race

February 7th, 2010 - Saratoga Springs, NY

The eleventh Saratoga Spa Winterfest 5km Snowshoe Race at Spa Park in Saratoga Springs, New York directed by my friends Laura and Jeff.  I finished 8th of 92 racers!
