 1st Prospect Mountain 10Km Snowshoe Nationals

March 10th, 2014 - Prospect Mountain - Woodford, VT

Prospect Mountain Nordic Ski Center for the U.S.S.S.A. Nationals...  many of us have been waiting for this, a National Championship on one of our "home courses".

Great rewarding day, running with my Pop.  We finished 192 and 193 out of 213 in the Men's Open Division (there were 114 in the Women's Open Division, 19 in the Women's Citizen Race, 36 in the Men's Citizen Race, and 14 in the Junior Women's 5km race, with 16 in the Junior Men's 5km, not to mention the Sunday addition of the relay races).

Largest field ever for Nationals, wonderful event.  My Pop was awarded a Gold Medal for finishing 1st in his age division, and I was presented with an Achievement Award from the USSSA in recognition of outstanding service to the sport of snowshoe racing!

11th Annual Camp Saratoga ~5-Mile Snowshoe Race

February 8th, 2014 - Wilton Wildlife Preserve - Wilton, NY

The Camp Saratoga 5-Mile Snowshoe Race at Wilton Wildlife Preserve was held by my very good friends JC & LC.  

I finally got to an event this season, ran it with my Pop.  We finished 58th & 59th of 87 total.

The 15th Saratoga Spa Winterfest 5km Snowshoe Race at Spa Park in Saratoga Springs, New York directed by my friends Laura and Jeff.  I missed it.

119 racers completed this season's Sidehiller event, which brought back the snow!

DAR to Bullitt Reservation Marathon
October 9th, 2013 - Goshen & Ashfield, Massachusetts

The DAR Marathon (Daughter's of the American Revolution).

Tippi and I ran a DAR State Forest Marathon today in 6:10:00.  This was my 52nd completed marathon, and Tippi's 17th.  

We began in Goshen, at the Daughter's of American Revolution State Forest, and ran out to Bullitt Reservation, and back.  We enjoyed views from Chapel Ledge and Chapel Falls.
