First day as a contractor/consultant.  I thought it went really well.

Romped around Farmington River Park in Bloomfield for 3.2-miles afterward, with the temperature's reaching the low 80's.

Morning Interview, followed by a drive to Great Barrington to visit my Mom.

Excellent visit, with two loops of the outdoor walking path around the facility.

Once home, I did some gardening with DL, and then ended the day with sitting myself down on the patio with a cup of coffee enjoying the birds.

My Watch Ended today after 34-years and 7-months on the job.

Today, I retired from my position, calling it a day.

“... I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.”

Five-years since my last Colonoscopy, it was time.

I passed, no issues at all and I do not have to return for seven-years.

Actually told to "keep doing what you're doing".

I celebrate everything.

I had a tender right Achilles Tendon after Tuesday's run, so I have taken it cautiously.

Today, I tested it out with a very easy three-miles with alternating walk breaks at Bear Hole.

Everything went well.

Visit with my Mom in Great Barrington early...  spent a half-hour walking the outdoor path around the facility in the bright sun and fresh air.  An excellent visit including donuts from Mrs. Murphy's.

Also, on this day in 2006, I completed a Metacomet Marathon with Tippi.

By 2005, most of my running turned toward exploring and mapping routes through the forest of Western Massachusetts and North Central Connecticut, with an emphasis on picking out ways to connect big tracks of land, and turn them into runs of marathon length.

This run began in Sunrise Park, Suffeld, Connecticut and flowed south through Penwood State Forest in Bloomfield and Simsbury, Connecticut.

We spent 6:27:00 completing a little over 28-miles or so.

This was my 31st marathon completed, and Tippi's 7th.

Notes:  A great day;  started out 50 degrees at the 9:45 A.M. start time.  I believe it reached 70 degrees during the day, with most of it in the mid to upper 60’s.  Sunny and blue sky entire time, with a bit of a nice breeze every once and a while.
