K.M. Dubuque State Forest in Hawley to zig-zag through the Goat Head Trail out to the Hawley Bog (Cranberry Bog) with Tippi.

A visit to Mohawk Trail State Forest to navigate the Trout Brook Trail to Harwood Road in Savoy.  Tippi ended up brutally covered in caked mud during this exploration, so we needed to wash her off in the Cold River once back at Route 2.  

Another day attempting to find our way on the Pocumtuck Trail.  Tippi has been a great sport through the wanderings....

Still connecting parts of the Pocumtuck with Tippi, which nearing Greenfield is pretty difficult due to lack of trail blazes.

Nipmuck Trail Marathon

June 6th, 2010 - Ashford, Connecticut

Completed my 8th Nipmuck Marathon today, as well as my 46th overall marathon.

I finished in a respectable 5:07:28, good for 34th place overall.

Another drive out to Granville State Forest with Tippi to explore a bit.

Drove back out to the Barkhamsted Area, to connect Granville State Forest with Tunxis State Forest.

Tippi was along for the ramble, and a lenghy one it was!
