2nd Wapack Range End-To-End

June 29, 1997 - Greenfield, NH to Ashburnham, MA

Second  installment of the "Wapack End-to-End" adventure.

The Gulliver's did another really nice job coordinating the shuttle between points, as well as the aid stations.

Ran with Curt P and Eric M, I didn't get a finish time, but I think it may have been quicker than last year's effort.  This was my 16th completed marathon.

**** Time Update:  4:46:59, with splits of 1:16:00,1:29:00 (2:45:00) and 2:02:00 (4:46:59).

Hill Street 7.2-Miler in 57:27, with 99-degree temperatures. 

8.6-miles on the Metacomet with the Bandit, 1:33:46. 

Greylock Gallop with Pop and RunSteveo in 2:12:18 for the 13.1-miles. 

Greylock Tune-Up, 13.1-miles in 2:18.

Nipmuck Trail Marathon

June 1, 1997 - Ashford, Connecticut

Completed my 15th marathon distance run today at Nipmuck Trail Marathon.  My finish time was recorded as 4:31:44, which was good for 42nd place.

Bigelow Hollow with the Old Goat, 9-miles in 1:42:00. 

I ran my old favorite long run on Greylock, a 17.5-mile adventure that I've tackled a few times.

It was cool, 50 - 60's degrees and sunny.

Completed in 3:38:40. 

Beginning and Ending was at the Cheshire Harbor Trailhead.

Greylock on a cool (50's) and wet day with Pop and Bill D.

Monday thru Wednesday on the Metacomet, with a celebration with my Mom today.

Completed the day with 5-miles in Dubuque (Hawley) with Dusty.

Kings Corner Road - Hawley Pass - Basin Brook - Hallockville Road - Kiln Road. 

7-miles in Shenipsit State Forest (Soapstone) with the Old Goat.

7 Sisters Race.

Fell twice, lost watch on Hitchcock, felt bad for miles 2 - 5.

Eight Yasso 800's (3:10 - 3:13).

Training run at Seven Sisters with Eric M; nice day with temps between mid 50's and mid 60's.
